T. wEieR is an artist who enjoys producing work that
twists poetic intellect with a healthy respect for nonsense. He models himself after no one in particular, but
is a great admirer of the surrealist Magritte, cartoonist B. Kliban, and the purest elements of junk TV from the
60's and 70's. Since beginning his self-taught "cartooning studies" in 1982, T. wEieR has produced gag
cartoons that have appeared in many magazines and newspapers, most under his SOMEDAZE title. In addition to illustrating
books, t-shirts, and buttons, he took a four year detour into the challenging world of comic book work, sequential
art, super hero comics with no super heroes, comix...you get the idea. In 1997, T. wEieR created the daily cartoon,
SALAMANDER BITS, a unique work of cutting edge exploration. Today, T. wEieR produces SALAMANDER BITS and SOMEDAZE
on a daily basis and provides work for those who need illustration/cartooning services. T. wEieR also has a "normal"
job that will be nice to say goodbye to one day.
