Public Programs at Jenny Jump

The UACNJ provides free public programs from April through October, on Saturday evenings from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m., at which an astronomy presentation is followed by an observing 'Star Party', weather permitting. All programs are held on-site at the UACNJ Observatory at Jenny Jump State Forest. (Directions)

Astronomy Day - This year is on Saturday, April 20. The afternoon program will be held at the Warren County Branch Library on Route 46 in Hackettstown, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. The evening program will be held at Jenny Jump Observatory, from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. The program and presentations are directed towards educating the general public about astronomy and related topics and issues. There is day-time observing, displays, and a variety of presentations. (Program)

UACNJ 9th Annual Symposium - Held this year on Saturday, September 28, beginning at 2:00 p.m., this event is directed towards individuals who wish to learn more about amateur astronomy as well as having topics for more advanced amateurs. The programs include both general and technical presentations. (Program)
