HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN
- Admit that you are a sinner before God. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
- Acknowledge that God demands payment for sin. "For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23) "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27) "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone." (Revelations 20:15)
- Realize that Christ died for your sins. "But God commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
- Accept Christ as your Savior and Lord. "That is thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
A simple way to ask Christ into your heart is to pray something like this: "Dear Lord, I recognize I am a sinner. I turn from my sin. I, here and now, take Jesus Christ to be Savior of my life." I come to you for full forgiveness. I do believe that Jesus shed His blood and died for me on Calvary's Cross and that He arose from the grave on the third day. Thank you Lord for loving me. Help me to live my life for you. In Jesus Name, AMEN.
