C. C. Diggs

A farewell to C. C. Diggs of the Koffee Kids.

A Tribute to "C C" by A. Orton.

He was among us for awhile
But now he has gone.
Though his beautiful spirit
Will live on and on.

We liked his wit and humor
'Cause he made us smile.
We admired his inquisitive nature,
And his unique style.

And what about his melodious music
Whose strains were soft and mellow?
He was our music man,
He was just a fun loving fellow.

With a heart as big as life,
He had great stamina
And the will to overcome strife.

Oh he loved to play a joke,
Or hustle you at pool;
But the gents all loved him,
'Cause he was so "cool".

We'll miss this fun loving guy
Who sat with us each day;
Quizzing us and kidding us
In so many different ways.

But he's in a better place,
Peaceful and without pain.
If we keep our spirits up
We'll see our friend again.

He's probably sitting in a boat
On a special pier
Taking photographs
Of things he loved so dear.

P.S. He never did tell us how much he made, but he told us about the one who got away.

A Haiku Tribute to "C C" by Dick Fletcher

He's gone fishin',
Or shootin' some pool,
Our C.C.'s gone.

Fishin' is good.
Pool is some better.
Where is that man!

Someday we'll be
Casting our lines too,
Or racking balls.

Our minds see him
Even though he's gone.
Time unites us.
