The Gypsy curse on Duncan is shown in the second season episode The Darkness.
Carmen says to Duncan: "You will have hundreds of women, but you will never marry, not me, not anyone." Roman (her brother) asks another woman if this prediction is true, and after she looks at Duncan's hand, she nods.
And also, as Duncan is walking away, Carmen calls after him: "MacLeod,
you will bury many women, but you will marry none. You will always
be alone; do you hear me? Alone!"
On the beach at the beginning of the episode:
"The prophecy tells of a Highland child, born on the Winter Solstice,
who has gone through Darkness into Light, and survives to challenge
the Voice of Death."
At the cemetery, right before the police come to arrest Duncan:
"An evil one will come, to vanquish all before him. Only
a Highland Child, born on the Winter Solstice, who has seen both Darkness
and Light can stop him. A child, and a man."
This form of the prophecy is repeated during Roland's quickening and also
during the episode Archangel.
